Preschool Graduation

Caleb had his preschool graduation today. Even though an accredited school would never hold a graduation for preschool age kids (because it's not considered developmentally appropriate), I did think it was kind of cute. Most of the kids were embarrassed and/or scared to be in front of all the parents, but Caleb ate it up (of course). He loved the attention.

Here he is "hula dancing" on the way to the limbo stick.
After doing the limbo, he jumped on a foam surfboard
and did a little "surf" dance.
He was one of two kids who actually did the dance they had practiced.

"Mom, did I look cute in my graduation suit?" -Caleb

Caleb with his teacher, Ms. Cheryl.

Each child received a diploma, a graduating bear figurine, a Hawaiian lei made of skittles, a Hawaiian bandana, a flower for their wrist, a pair of sunglasses, a new book, and the middle school kids made each of the graduating preschoolers a little wooden rocking chair with their name stenciled on it! Afterwards there were cookies and punch for refreshments.

Caleb has already asked me about a million times how many days there are until Kindergarten...

How did I not realize that Caleb and Cassidy would be in the same school grade? Cute pictures of your little graduate!
