Note: I copied some of this blog from the blog of a girl I don't even know. I read her blog everyday because she usually has me laughing until I cry. I copied parts of her post (and added some of my own stuff) because her day so closely resembled mine...
Here's a link to her blog if you ever need a laugh. Lawson's do dallas
This entry is dedicated to Todd, and every married man out there...
What he says:
I can't stand the way this new shower curtain liner sticks to itself!
What I hear:
You're horrible at buying shower curtain liners and an all-around bad person.
What he says:
Oww! You're stepping on my toe!
What I hear:
I think you're very fat.
What he says:
This enchilada sauce is good, but your secret recipe will always be my favorite.
What I hear:
Get back in that kitchen and make me something worth eating, woman!
What he says:
I threw a load of laundry in.
What I hear:
You are such an incompetent wife--I don't even have a pair of socks to wear to work.
What he says:
You look pretty today.
What I hear:
You look kind of shabby today, but I'm gonna lie to you to try to keep some peace in this otherwise insane household.
What he does:
*takes the garbage out and forgets to REPLACE the liner
*folds the laundry and gets the boys's shirts MIXED up
*takes the kids to Big Rocks and leaves me home ALONE to quilt
*dresses himself in a shirt with a miniscule HOLE in the collar
*brushes his teeth with Crest---I HATE Crest!
*replaces the broken kitchen faucet while I'm TRYING to make a sandwich
*Nick at Night replaced The Cosby Show with Home Improvement--
somehow that HAS to be Todd's fault...
*lays down in the recliner while I'm watching TV and GOES TO SLEEP
Why the hell doesn't he want to talk to me???
Poor Todd. I hope that one day God will grant him the gift of invisibility. He deserves it.

Stick to the status quo
Todd just took Brayden to school in the truck--after loading the dog into the bed. When I asked him, "Why?" He said, "So I can be a redneck....that's what we do."
While he was out, he made a trip to the hardware store (redneck central).

We've already dropped the price...
Hi everyone. We've already dropped the price on our CR-V because I called another lady who was selling the exact same vehicle (except their's had 30K more miles) on KSL, and she told me they had to come way down in price and it took two months to sell it. Since we live in the middle of nowhere, we have an additional challenge. So anyway, we are now asking $6500, for a car with a private party value of $7600. If you know anyone looking for a reliable vehicle, let us know, or send them a link to our ad. We're even willing to meet someone anywhere along I-15, or in Cache Valley to look at it, if they're seriously interested. Here's another link to our ad at ksl.com; it now has a picture and the CR-V looks oh, so shiny and nice. :o)
If anyone in the family wants it, we can come down even more in the price, but that offer is only for y'all who read our blog, and only if we're desperate to sell. We're actually getting our truck this week. We don't owe a payment on our CR-V until November 3oth 'cause we're ahead, but if we still own it by Thanksgiving time, we might be willing to deal... :o)

FREE, FREE, FREE kittens
We have free kittens, and there are free of them (I mean three). Did I mention they are free? Todd found them in the woodpile today. There is a reason we chose two male cats when we moved in last year and needed some mousers. Unfortunately, one of our male kittens "traded spaces" with a mangy stray, who is apparently female. And now our two annoying cats (who don't eat mice) have been prolific.
We don't have the "testicular fortitude" to "get rid" of them,
so we've got a problem.
Brayden announced that he's always dreamed
of having a woodpile full of kittens. But alas, they cannot stay.
Would YOU like a FREE kitten?
Oh, and come to think of it, if I find any more
matchbox cars in my flour bin,
we may just throw in the two year old as well.

Vehicle for Sale
Todd drove it through the mud this morning.
We have decided to sell our CR-V to get a truck. If you ever move 5 hours away from your family--make sure you own a truck. We need to haul all of the previous owners junk out of our basement, take the 1970's double oven that is sitting IN OUR DRIVEWAY to the dump, get wood for the winter, and be able to bring home building supplies from the new Home Depot that is opening in Richfield in two weeks (hallelujah!).
We were looking at a '98 Chevy Silverado in Richfield, but discovered that because of the age (and the interest rate hike that comes with a truck that old) we could get a 2000 for the same price. So I got on ksl.com and looked specifically at '00 trucks, and found the exact one that we are looking for. It was even the right color. I scrolled up to see where it was from, and it's in Loa!!! We can actually see the owner's house from our back step. So anyway, now we can't trade in our CR-V, we have to sell it ourselves.
My friend Becky told me that her husband's truck was on KSL for a month and they didn't get any calls. So her son re-wrote the ad and made it funny, and they got 5 calls in two days. After reading about the ebay lady that got $142 for pokemon cards (ebay lady), I decided to make my ad a little longer--and hopefully stand out. Unfortunately, I'm not as funny as the ebay lady. I tried to call my funny brother, Ben, to get help with being funny, but he's started graduate school now, so I doubt we'll hear from him for the next four years.

I think we're going to have to lower the price, because of the plethora of CR-V's for sale, but the private party value is supposedly 7,600, so we'll see what happens. I'm afraid that anyone who would need to finance it, is going to run into the same problem we had. It's just not worth financing a car that old because of the interest rate hike. We'll probably end up taking it to CARMAX and selling it at the trade-in value.
If you know anyone who wants a CR-V, let us know. It runs great. We actually owe less than it's worth, so we can come down in the price (shh, don't tell!).
